Anyone else who grew up in NY in the seventies or eighties remember Magic Garden?

To this day, I'm a sucker for bands with women singing close harmonies, which I attribute to watching this show when I was little.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Last year, Carole and Paula were touring and singing the old Magic Garden songs.

Garfield Goose and Friends! Ray Raynor. (We had a stuffed Cuddly Duddly dog.) And Bozo's Circus, with Bozo, Curly, Wizzo, and Ringmaster Ned! (We got tickets for Bozo's Circus when I was five years old. My parents had applied for them before I was born, but I was able to take the ticket that they originally had intended for my brother, who was ten years old by the time we got to go.)

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

The summer I was in 7th grade (I did not have cable, although people did), one station showed The Blue Lagoon several times at around 4 am. I know I am not hallucinating, because my BFF remembers it too. It was very titallating for a 14 year old, although I do not remember if it was cut.

Until cable we had three VHF channels, and on UHF a PBS and a local channel (which is now fox). I do remember that PBS showed WAY more movies before there was cable readly available.

When I had my regular New Years Eve babysitting gigs in junior high and high school, very few of my jobs were at homes with VCRs, and cable was non-existent, so I always watched PBS that evening. They always seemed to have Astaire/Rogers films on, which I totally fell in love with.

Art Crawl!!!

I think that there were also more old movies in the afternoons and weekends before cable.

And more tv movies on regular tv.

Does anyone now what Hungarian Peppers are and how you can cook them? I can google, but I am interested in if anyone has heard of them. My neighbor just gave me seven of them, and they are about to go bad, so I need to do something with them!

Garfield Goose and Friends!

Garfield Goose, the king of the United States, and his nephew, Christmas. The head of castle security was Beauregard Burnside III, a bloodhound who was always asleep and could only be awakened by shouting about food.
