You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm not racist, but...

Huh. My office took time off from gender issues to explore race issues today. Started with someone stating that there were suburbs of Melbourne where he no longer feels comfortable (because, I think, of the number of Sudanese and/or Somali refugees settled there). Glad to report that he got called on it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, some of those are truly bonkers.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

today is like the perfect Friday at work. My boss is gone and the phones are being really quiet. I am leaving straight from work for a family thing in AUstin and of course had a million things to do, so I have been able to make calls, send emails, better pack the bags, and now I am doing my nails. I have done all the tasks left for me and have answered all new inquiries. whoot!

5/4/9= working nine hours a day per pay period and one friday off.

Ah, that's what we call a 9/80: you work 80 hours in 9 work days, so I bill 36 hours one week and 44 the next. I love it: in fact, today is my regular day off, so I slept in a bit, went running, started some cookies, and just got back from getting my hair cut.

My regular schedule is 8-5:30, which is still way fewer hours than I worked at the old job, where I regularly stayed until 6:30 or 7PM, and now I get alternate Fridays off. So nice.

My husband works a 9/80 - he loves having every other Friday off. He gets to work at 7 so he's usually out by 6, the same time I leave work. I would love to go to a 9/80 or 4/10 work week but we're 24/7/365 here so no can do. I am so jealous on his Friday's off during the summer, 'cause I'm the only one who has to get up early booo!

Have y'all seen The Mouse That Crawled Up Inside A Man, And Other Urban Legends Of The 17th Century? It's about a 17th century broadsheet that seems to have been a cross between Dear Abby and an urban legend debunker.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I found a recipe online today for a sugar cookie cake (not made of, just tastes like). I'm in love.

And yet, you are not sharing.

Today is too busy again, but we got a food truck on the lot again, so I went and stood outside for a bit and now I have tacos.

Oh, James Arness died.

... to be fair, I didn't know he was still alive.
