Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

A friend of mine who had some minor success in the comic book field passed on this bit of wisdom about becoming a success: you have to have at least 2 of these three qualities: be good, be fast, be nice.

I'm screwed.

ETA: But not by a dolphin. Just wanting to be clear.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Stormy, Mon Amour -- you can see it described here: [link] but I read it in Tart Noir.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Argh, My Nemesis is pissing me off again. She had someone ask a question about a project I manage (I'm the program manager) and she answered them wrong, and then instead of bringing me into the conversation, she forwarded the exchange to the lawyers. I only found out about it when the lawyers added me to the CC list when they replied.

This is what she does all the time, and she's entirely shameless about it. Doesn't seem to care that it makes our entire organization look like idiots, so long as she can keep me off-balance and out of the loop.

I shouldn't hate this woman, because hate increases the amount of entropy in the universe. But the amount of entropy in my life would be severely reduced if she would get transferred to another division, or decide to take an early retirement or something.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just asked yet another person about the project that's eating me from my bottom, and he was all "Oh, we can't do it *that* way! What were you thinking?" EVERY TIME I ASK ANYONE NEW, the old ways are impossible. No one understands this project. It's insane.

I'm going home to drown my sorrows in some network attached storage.

Also, there's something perfumed in my purse and I can't work out what it is or how to get rid of it. Driving me batty.
