Different heads are likely different.
But physics doesn't vary that much. The less insulated your head is, the easier it is to dissipate heat through your scalp. The desire to have longer hair for the summer might be based on a bunch of things, but rapid rate of cooling over v. short hair I doubt will stand up to experimentation.
Not that physics should be the primo reason for anyone to style their locks.
I wonder why it's only really black women cutting their hair micro short. I guess I don't have to worry about it looking downy. But outside of Eve Salvail, Natalie Portman and Pope-ripper, short short just means different things across racial boundaries.
Wait, what was the name of that Asian chick that all the Hollywood straight women sleep with?
Joan Chen?
They should be so lucky!
Actually, the chick in question is pretty hot. If memory serves, she might have slept with Angelina Jolie. She was Sam Ronson before Sam Ronson was Sam Ronson, if you know whadda mean.
Not sure how to google that at work.
Wikipedia is your friend.
While on a break from Miller prior to their wedding, Jolie was involved in a brief relationship with her Foxfire (1996) co-star Jenny Shimizu.
Jenny Shimizu.
Hey, she's good friends with an old buddy of mine. I've lost touch with her these past few years but, um, way back when, they were buds. Says she's very down to earth.
Yes! Although her hair isn't as short as I was remembering. Still, nice to look at her again. If you're going to dabble, you could do a lot worse.

She used to buzz it pretty short.
Atta girl, Jenny! You go, with the Kinsey-manipulating.
This is my favorite Jenny Shimizu photo on flickr, which I use as an lj icon. SFW, although other photos in that stream are definitively not.
I have had my hair buzzed like that, and I loved it. I would definitely do it again, and agree with ita that it's the coolest. I think there's a far and away difference from what most people mean when they say "short" and the complete absence of hair that ita and I are talking about.
I mean, one of those pics linked upstream about short hair, I consider kinda long. But I realize I am unusual in this. Anyway, Trudy, I appreciate the long hair defense, but sadly for me, I will not make it to ponytail before summer heat kicks in. Nonetheless, I'm growing it. It's just how my hair desires work. I cut it off half the time in winter, too.
