Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I, as is classic for me, am growing my hair out for summer. I know. But I am.

That's because when it's hot, if you can't put it in a pony tail you'll DIE.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's because you don't know what the word short can mean.

I've had short hair during the summer. It was hell.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If my hair is touching my neck, it's not short enough.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My dad got me a gift certificate to a new-to-me salon and I plan to go there in June and let them do whatever they think is best because I have no idea. But I do eye the clippers and think how easy it would be to just run them all over my scalp. But once I did, I'd pretty much have to keep doing it pretty often, and that is not my strength. Also suspect that look would not work wonderfully well with my round face and skull of unknown bumpiness.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I look terrible (not to mention 12) with super short hair. I love my angled bob most of the time--it's my One True Cut--but it is way more work than longer hair since I can't get away with putting it back and it looks awful before a shower and blow dry, and it is evil in humidity.

Still wasn't as good as a ponytail. It may have been the powerless aspect, it may have been that the tail provides a breeze. I don't know. What I do know is that so long as it remains in my power it'll never happen again.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'm thinking about having my mom's colorist take care of my grey hair while I'm in NJ next week, just to see what a good professional can do with it. I'll probably have it colored dark brown. I have the feeling the grey hairs will grab onto the color less than the brown hairs will, so I might end up with a highlighted look without paying for it.

I cannot imagine how a ponytail could be cooler than the breeze against my scalp and the moisture evaporating directly into the air.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Neck-touching hair is okay with me, but I can't stand it on my face. Mine's well down on my shoulders and back. I'd love to get it cut, but I'm afraid it would be back to two inches or nothing. I love the ease of care when it's that short, but keeping it cut and shaped is a commitment, and then there's always the moment when I miss feeling my hair *move* in a breeze, or when I turn my head. Why can't we have knobs in the back of our heads so we can crank our hair back in short, or grow it out long in a couple of turns of the knob?

ita, I know you've found a good infuser for work (and I've sort of fallen in love with the one Perkins posted) but I have a couple-three of these. There is some color-staining over time, but no flavor retention. They're dishwasher safe but we usually rinse in hot water and air-dry and they're good to go. Plus, no great loss if one goes astray. They're pretty good at keeping the small bits of leaf, too.
