The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I fell back asleep this morning after all, on the sofa.

I'm pretty sure my brain is still hiding under the cushions.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

OMG, my boss is criticizing me for not escalating something as a high priority outage. It's a DNS change, and we told them to not expect it to be in effect for 48 hours. It's not been 24, and these changes in particular take effect company-wide in five minutes. No, I don't know exactly why the guy in question couldn't do it right away, but he's not at his desk, so there's nothing I can do to force him to do it in the next 20 minutes. At which point...we're at the time he said he'll do it.

I really should panic more in general, but today? Is not going to be it. Sorry, bossman. Don't have the juice.

SLOOOOOW. Come on, people. It's been an hour. I do not have more than a half hour break between meetings today. Give me some distracting loving.

Somebody somewhere said one's supposed to wear purple to show your LGBT support today. I have no idea who started it, no idea if I approve of the source of this meme. But, hey, purple, and moving through a haze this morning. So I did.

I wonder if anyone here at the office is doing the same. I don't know the audience of the meme either.

My god, I'm slack in my old age.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh man, my one meeting today got rescheduled. I've been taking care of some small, futile, tasks, and am SO BORED.

Ha ha! We are opposites!

And I am wearing purple by accident, and glad of it. I haven't thought to look around at other people to notice if they are...

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I am frantic with trying to get all my work done before I go on vacation next week. I would like to have time to be bored.

Because books.

I put on my favorite purple sweater today and had no idea what day it was until I got to my mom's and saw Facebook and LJ. Serendipity.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So who has heard of "LGTBQA"? I am so far behind the PC-times

From a letter to Sullivan:

One of your readers notes that they have encountered "LGTBQA" as an acronym. I used to work for a Diversity-focused office at UC Berkeley, where political correctness gets chewed up and turned into guidelines. The acronym we had to use? LGBTIQQAA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transexual, Intersex, Queer, Questioning, Asexual, Ally). When I left my employment there, they were having meetings about tacking on a "P" for Pansexual, another "P" for Polyamory, and an "I" for something I can't even recall.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I just got dressed. Unfortunately, I don't own a purple t-shirt in my entire collection. But my heart's there.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I went to do some volunteer work at the building site for the new, local children's museum. I banged my thumb with a hammer hanging drywall.

I am not cut out for construction work. But we managed to get an entire room finished.
