I have had a great day today. It was our state speech contest and my kids kicked butt! I am so proud of them. Then, on the way home, I got my birthday treat: a chocolate cake shake from Portillo's. Tasty goodness.

I took a 4 hour nap today, and as a result am too groggy to drive to Memphis and try the new-ish Russian restaurant. But maybe it's for the best. I want to dress up a bit for it, and it's still too warm to wear a long sleeve shirt for a 3 hour round trp drive in addition to dinner. Oh well, maybe next weekend.
