Spike: Lots of fuss over one girl. Other things to do around here--important things. Angel: You know that whoosh thing you do when you're suddenly not there anymore? I love that.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Trudy, I just got diagnosed with iron-deficient anemia and started taking iron. Even though it will take a couple of months to get my iron to good levels, I can already tell a difference. It used to be at 4:30 or 5, I literally could not keep my eyes open and would crash for about 45 minutes. I still get tired, but not like that. It's amazing what a difference it makes.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Cheese Dog, Hold the Fries

But does the dog wear the cheese, or does the cheese wear the dog?

hip deep in pie

Just don't start lying to people (above or below you in the chain) to (try to) make yourself look better. I think that's the fatal error of a lot of my bosses.

Ha! My boss does this all the time. He is currently doing it about something that I think will get him in the deepest of shit if it's found out. Actually I think he's lying about something he hasn't done, blaming the big, big, big boss on it being delayed, and counting on the fact that noone is going to bother the big, big, big boss for it.

woohoo, I lack ambition. I AM THE BEST!

Me too! Wheee!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

ChiKat, that's good to hear.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

My bus smells like feet. Or stinky cheese. Or stinky feet cheese.

That is all.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Today included working from home, maintenance installing new CO alarms and putting in a new air filter, then out into the cold to see the dentist.

Gahhhh, I hate the dentist. I wasn't smart enough to take my Lorazapam before hand to stave off an anxiety attack. I'm home and I'm still shaking.

As for the Trazadone, it has worked for me. I was on generic ambien before and while it helped me fall asleep better, I would wake up a bunch during the night. The first while on Trazadone I felt like I slept but I also felt aware instead of deep asleep. It doesn't feel like that anymore, but I can't say how long it took for the deep sleep. Now when I have insomnia issues it is because I didn't follow my usual routine or I took the meds and didn't try to sleep within a half hour. I can't imagine taking it 3 hours before bedtime.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

She says taking it three hours before bedtime will help the fogginess in the morning. Obviously Ambien wasn't perfect, but I prefer waking up to not falling asleep for four plus hours. But the feeling like shit in the morning can't go on, not if I can't drive.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

extended use of Seche made my nails peel like crazy.

This happens to me with any nail polish that has formaldehyde in it. It takes months for the damage to grow out.

iron

I started taking a seaweed supplement for iodine, and it has made such a difference in my mood and my ability to stay awake all day, almost from the first day.

ita, I'm so sorry you have to deal with all this unhelpful crap from your doctors. Anti-helpful, even.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Doctors keep trying to diagnose me with anemia, because I'm female and vegan and frequently tired, but every blood test since I was in my early teens has shown my iron level slightly above the normal range. (My rheumatologist's explanation for me being frequently tired is that, since my tendons don't hold my joints together like they're supposed to, my muscles have to work harder, so pretty much any everyday movement uses more energy for me than it does for other people.)

What emoticon did we come up with for eye-rolling? Because someone left a comment on my blood spatter nail tutorial asking what brands had the MAC Villainous colors.
