See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'm voting after work, so I can bring Matilda with me. I don't think she's missed a visit to the polls yet, and I don't intend her to miss this one.

Compassionately intolerant

I was actually going to let myself off the hook for voting today but made it anyway. Go me with the civic duty.

I'm a little appalled by a couple of the races, but all we can do is hope for the best.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I voted. I feel slightly guilty for skipping the judges, but I didn't have time to research 82 (no joke) judges.

The signage for my polling place was pathetic. If you are just going to scrawl the precinct and ward numbers on a piece of copy paper, at least find someone with decent handwriting and a sharpie! And the instructions for the touchscreen failed to explain how to get to the screen with the "submit ballot" button.

Coding and Sleeping

My ballot wasn't too terribly long, but there were definitely plenty of jobs which, as always, make me scratch my head and wonder "why do we hold elections for this?"

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My DH is with you on that one. We're voting when he gets home from work.

And aurelia, are you in Calif? The number of judges was mind blowing. Luckily for me, DH went through and figured out who to vote for.

I also skipped the judges, who took up a whole page. I don't vote blindly.

I wasn't really happy with who I picked for the higher profile offices either, but at least I know who they are (basically).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Woo hoo, Theo!! I hope this leads to long-term employment for you.

brillig

There were about a dozen local council seats that were running unopposed, so I didn't bother. I should have found names to write in, but the futility is depressing. I did go through our Voter Information booklet and figure out the judges based on the ratings, and actually found two to vote against. Doubt it will actually throw out anyone--Utah is big on automatically "sustaining the leadership"--but perhaps the judges will check their numbers tomorrow and go "Oh, gosh, people actually voted to throw me out, perhaps some rethinking is in order." Or they'll just assume that a bunch of people will always vote against incumbents.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, there were a few judges I found endorsements for/against, but I'm going to skip all the rest.
