Tara: 'Your One-Stop Spot to Shop for Lots of New-Age and Occult Items.' Catchy. Giles: Think so? Tara: Uh huh. In a... hard to say sorta way.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

A very good thing!

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Well, a bar mitzvah is about a boy becoming a man, so perhaps a gift that reflects that ?(my friend Jeff got a subscription to Playboy, but I don't think that's appropriate.)

OMFG mac started in with me the second I met him from school. I am no fun, I am cow manure. He lied to me about homework, then said he would do it, but fights every step of the way. Took the whole bag of candy to his room, so I am sure it is being consumed. Has already threatened to stay up as late as he wants. I may very well run off with the circus.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm sure it was for the articles.

Mac, behave!

YVR has free internet.

Trip has just about ended. I am so lucky to have a best friend of 20 years period, not to mention a friend who understands when I don't talk to her, and who lets me argue heatedly with her for an hour + about fanfic. Which she still fails to get, but there you are.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Gift certificates to things like iTunes and Borders, or places that sell console games for Xboxes/Wiis/Whatevers. For that matter, the kid may have an Amazon Wishlist that's pretty specific.

Mind you, this assumes it's not the kind of Bar Mitzvah that gets Justin Bieber to do an appearance....

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Good stuff happening today: Tom got a promotion and a raise!

YAY TOM!

backflung Amy.

Mac is totally in twerp mode. He came out and tried to shove the "homework" in my face. The "homework" is a writing assignment that he has to re-do, because it is supposed to be on an experience you remember and mac basically wrote a short scene of Pokemon tv show dialogue. It makes no sense to anyone unfamiliar with Pokemon, also no introduction to what is going on and more than half of it is sound effects. Thing is, he had written a page an a half on that. What he just came out with? 3 sentences written HUGE to take up almost a whole page. He uses so much energy fighting tiny little stuff.
