Mal: Well, look at this! Appears we got here just in the nick of time. What does that make us? Zoe: Big damn heroes, sir.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My wedding dress design was inspired by Elizabeth Taylor's costumes in Butterfield 8 !

Cool! During my 365 photos attempt (what was I thinking? 365 pictures of myself? I'm surprised I lasted that long) the only inspired-by-outside-sources portrait was Butterfield 8 influenced.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Sumi, that sounds worth taking a long lunch for. Especially since it's a university program.

Art Crawl!!!

I've been given permission to go.

ION - speed limits for bicyles: do modern bikes have a speedometer? Perhaps, in places where there is a speed limit - they should.

Punishingly Intricate

do modern bikes have a speedometer?

No but a lot of riders have bike computers. I can never get mine to work correctly though.

Compassionately intolerant

My bike totally had an odometer, which was a mixed blessing. Going down a very steep hill in VA, my speedometer registered 38pmh. My first thought was 'whheeee'. My next thought was 'pebble.' Then came the terror. I wish I hadn't known how fact I was going. The rest of the time I wish I hadn't known how fast I was NOT going.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

MOG, they're still cutting down trees next door.

Yesterday, they were cutting and grinding up trees three doors down and I thought it would drive me mad or at least madder.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Allyson, can I meet your mother?

Sure. She asked me if we could go to the beach so she can see the Pacific, so maybe we can meet up for lunch? I was thinking of taking her to Santa Monica Pier.

ETA: Are you sure? When I think of my mom, I often think of Edina's mom on Absolutely Fabulous, but that could all be in my head.

Erm, I've had to be skippy and skimmy lately, but did we know that Pushing Daisies is on WB (at least their site)? [link]

Feh. I have had a twitchy eyelid for the last few days. What's that about?
