In other news -- my desktop hard drive won't boot this morning. It's been gradually failing, and I hoped it would hold on until Thursday noon when my project for school is due.
I knew this course was going to be hard but this is getting ridiculous.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, nail polish, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Jesse, a lot depends on how much fun 4 hours in a car with that friend will be. And also, is the difference $100 one-way or round-trip?
Driving with a friend can be fun, but $100 is not near enough for the extra hassle and travel time, IMO.
I'm seeing reports that Liz Taylor has died - but not yet in any major media sources.
$100 round trip, and the car ride could be really fun, but either way it would be nice to be company for my friend. I think it may not be worth it.
OK, BBC has an obit up: [link]
Also with the arrival at the airport, getting bags, finding your friend, it's going to be at least another 5 or 6 hours until you both arrive in Vegas after the drive. Not counting detours, getting lost, stopping to eat or whatever.
Me, I actually do kind of like driving cross-country on routes I've never been, but the extra time (remember, unless you're flying OUT of Vegas, you'll be doing the drive back...) balanced versus $100 (or $200 RT) savings... would probably make me spend more. If I had it, and limited vacation time.
Yeah, I'm thinking it's not worth it, really, even though now I'm looking at $150 difference! I don't know what the fuck is going on with these prices.
I've had Dogs in Elk posted to me on random email lists. It's a classic.
Think of it as sparing your friend the hassle of going to the airport twice, and treat her to a nice dinner instead?
