Because books.

Raising Hope is awesome. It's so gorgeously wrong. Also, cutest baby ever.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Chevy Chase is still on Community, right?

He's not on it much in the last two eps, if that helps.

Yes, yes, YES. I think it was Garret Dillahunt and the cuteness of the baby that got me to tune in (billboards *do* work), but now I'm staying for just about everything.

I love Garret Dillahunt playing against type for once. He makes a great psycho, but it's so fun to see him playing such a lovable goofball.

And I'll watch Chloris Leachman do just about anything.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Do you ever get the feeling that most of Maw-Maw's non-lucid moments are unscripted, or at least barely scripted--they just tell CL to have fun with it, and she's just that good?

Because books.

Absolutely, Perkins. She really is that good.

Cloris Leachman! I need to remember her name for when I'm reccing the show.

My sister has just told me I can't trade my watching episodes of Arrested Development and Family Guy for Supernatural because SPN will depress her. Suddenly I'm pimping Community, and I've only seen two episodes of it. Not sure why Raising Hope is a hard sell.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I haven't watched a network tv comedy series since the first season of Friends. Maybe I should check out Community, for the Enver ep if nothing else. (I watched The Mentalist for my first and only time when he was on.)

My jeans are driving me crazy. They're constantly falling off my butt, but the front side is fitting perfect. Grr. I think I'll try on the next size down jeans I have hanging in my closet, just to see how close I am to getting into them.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Random randomness:

Meet Spudina, the Spineless Hedgehog

What’s cuter than a hedgehog who lost all her spikes and now needs a sweater to keep warm? Nothing!

Meet Spudina, the spineless hedgehog:

The animal was found by a member of the public in a garden in Bedford and has been named Spudlina by staff as her skin resembles that of a potato. The two year old is undergoing various tests to determine the cause of the loss of her spines and she is currently enjoying regular skin massages with a Vitamin E moisturiser

Mac n Cheese Pie

This pie recipe came to me in a dream. I know this decadence is absolutely unnecessary, but I figure if you’re going to fill a pie, just fill it with gold. Pure, cheesy gold. I made this for Pi Day.

Raising Hope: Garret Dillahunt against type, Martha Plimpton on fire, Cloris Leachman going wild, and the cutiest patootiest baby (I'd laugh if it's a boy...it's always in pink). I know "white trash" is highly exploited for sitcoms, and I'm totally out of the loop so I wouldn't know if it's rehashing material, but it's laugh-out-loud for me every week. And so supremely wrong. I couldn't tell you what the last sitcom I watched regularly was. I gave up years ago. But I did just set a season pass for Community.

Man, I forgot how much I liked this episode of L&O:CI. Enver is great in it, plus Miguel Ferrer.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Community has its dud episodes, but when it's on, it's ON. The show is so clearly written by ginormous nerd dorks, so even when it's not great, it kind of is. (Like the alcohol ep wasn't their best overall, but the bit where Abed talks about Farscape is THE GREATEST THING EVER ON TV OMG.)

Have we talked about the song All My Internet Friends here before? Because we really should have. Here it is: [link] It's about us! Yay us!
