Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Also, I was really tired at the end of work and just wanted to get home, when my train was delayed over an hour due to a train/pedestrian accident (involving a different train.)

I felt guilty for being annoyed, as I figured someone was probably killed. And I was right, as when we passed the scene of the accident (in Wilmette) I saw the body covered in two sheets that were about 30 feet apart.

Ugh.

Man struck, killed by Metra train

eta: The train was running express and not slowing down for Wilmette when it hit the guy. That's how a lot of these accidents occur, when a pedestrian tries to hurry across the tracks, not realizing it's an express train.

Another round of babysitting tonight, E just kept saying she hated taking advantage of me, but I was all "Um, your husband is in the hospital with a life threatening condition. This is EXACTLY WHEN you take advantage of people." Plus, I get to play with play-dough. I mean, really, it is such a hardship....

Because books.

I love Play-Doh.

And in sort of Superman-related talk, a kid named Jor-El rang me up at the grocery store the other day.

Cholesterol tests came back still high. Poop! So now they want me to take pills.

I hear you! The only reason I'm not on pills is because my doctor doesn't want to give them to a "young woman". Because I don't want to take more pills, I haven't exactly mentioned that pregnancy isn't in my future. Oops?

I've been eating cheddar all week thinking it was really fucking weird swiss.

Also, just did the math, and have been neighborhoody basically all week. Not bad, not bad at all. But probably relates to me NOT NOTICING IT WAS CHEDDAR. And 6 am wakeups.

I need my routine, apparently.

AND I KEEP POSTING IN THE WRONG THREADS. I might be losing braincells.

Remember Animaniacs? And the short with the girl who is all "Hug 'em and squish 'em and call 'em George!"? That G with my cats. MK is in love with it, he purrs the whole time and follows her. Loki is a little disturbed: [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

(4) The bracelets are supposed to be gold metal, not silver plastic.

The silver bracelets are apparently a thing, as I learned when trying to get my WW costume this year. I was all, WTF, but they were all silver.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

The silver bracelets are apparently a thing, as I learned when trying to get my WW costume this year. I was all, WTF, but they were all silver.

But...but...

After I saw the WW shiny costume picture, I went to DC's Web site (which is how I learned about the Superboy comic) to double-check that her bracelets are gold. And they SO ARE.

t /can't let it go

This is the reason the boots need to be red: [link] (yes, I am predictable if nothing else).

And this is how I always view the lasso: [link] I imagine they could CGI something.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Remember Animaniacs?

Pfft. Silly question. I would guess that 80% of the people here could sing the theme song.

And the short with the girl who is all "Hug 'em and squish 'em and call 'em George!"?

Myra! You know that's based on a Bugs Bunny cartoon which was based on Of Mice and Men though, right?
