Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, hey, Discardia starts this weekend! A whole holiday dedicated to getting rid of crap!!

That sounds like a holiday I need to celebrate.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm taking the kids to my sister's in Indiana. She's recovering from outpatient surgery and the kids haven't seen her for four months.

I just bought my MVP pass for RollerCon in July! This includes all the skating events!!! MEEP. It's going to take me months to figure out what to wear to the Black & Blue Ball.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Saturday is DH's birthday, so we're all...going to the dentist. I felt kind of bad scheduling the appointment for that day, but it was the only Saturday slot they had open!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Right, people think of Big Hair as a purely eighties phenomenon, but it probably peaked (so to speak) in the early nineties.

It's probably because I've been finding all sorts of old family photos, but DAMN, I am nostalgic for my big hair and swirly eyeliner days.

Wow, it's difficult to remember that Liza Minelli was pretty cute in the early seventies.

Dude, there is a reason I have come to be okay with various strangers telling me I look like her. (I don't think I do, but I like the compliment.)

Hey, it's Friday! What are people doing this weekend?

Attending the memorial for my Mom.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Due to my relationship, I am now a non-practicing Discardian. (Although I try to practice in secret.)

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

What is the shar pei shot?

Today: HH likely Saturday: Cleaning and then I want to snuggle the hell out of the dogs who have spent most of this week with Jon, and I feel left out. Maybe see a movie. Sunday: More hanging with the dogs until I have to go pick Jon up for work. Then Mexican and bed.

I meant to tell you the other day. Jon was constantly bringing home "finds." Sometimes this is good. Gumbo is much easier to make on our commercial 6 burner gas stove, and we have a deep freeze. Sometimes it makes me fear that people who visit our house for the first time will think we're crazy people. Who just has a pachinko machine lying around? And why do we have a tv with most of the screen painted over? I do not believe that it is "art" no matter how many times he says so.

He seems to have stopped though and like, wants matching furniture and less clutter and stuff. So there is hope!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

ION, Basset Hounds Running

Is it just me? Or does the dog on the right in the first picture have too much skin?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The nurse hotline got me an appointment in the same office as my soon-to-be GP so I can get blood test followups next week. I'm impressed, since I couldn't do it myself, and all I had been asking her for was an urgent care place where I could get it.
