This AV Club interview with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost is great, but it has this line in it, this moment where Pegg describes, by way of describing geeks, *exactly* why I love my Buffistas:
"The capacity to acknowledge things at that level of detail and retain it, that’s what geeks are. They see the beauty in tiny, tiny things, and then chat about it."
Perfect.
Glad you slept.
OH! And turns out neighbor is renovating bath and getting rid of his original purple sink. And he'll give it to me! Needs some work (something msbelle's link would cover) but I GET ORIGINAL SINK!

Dude, that's like our motto.

I know!!!!
The night they first knew they were kindred spirits, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost were in a North London curry house with a group of friends in 1993. "In moving a condiment, I made a noise like a droid in 'Star Wars,' the little one that Chewbacca roars at and he runs away," says Pegg. Frost takes over the story: "Our eyes connected, and it was as if there was no one else in the restaurant through this pink mist."
Tep, did you see the Spock Blocked definition that's been floating around? (When someone prevents you from engaging in a conversation with someone you find intellectually stimulating, basically.) It's the best term ever. Pegg and Frost made me think of it, which made me think of you.
Gronk.
Shipped product this week. Perhaps less grey now?
They just identified the killer on the L&O CI rerun I'm watching because of how he enunciates his Ts.
Wasn't there an episode of L&O:TOS where they identified a killer because of his upper-case Es? Which were deemed colonial in nature? Which made me blink, because they looked perfectly normal to me.

That? Is pure awesome. I HATE being Spock Blocked!

Well, as a faux-Canadian you are a colonial.
And no, I have not revealed my deep familiarity with online community-building.
Hah! I'm not sure I would've been able to resist. Even though I feel ridiculous trying to explain that really, we aren't still sitting around discussing "Buffy"
