Right. Piano. Because that's what we used to kill that big demon that one time. No, wait. That was a rocket launcher.

How long have you had this illness

Two weeks. I'm just being whiny and irrational. (I also don't insist on being given antibiotics if my doctor doesn't think they're necessary.)

Yes, but with ND that was AFTER they took out his gallbladder!

My mom also had hers out in her late 30s. I occasionally wonder if I'm having gallbladder pain, but I haven't had it frequently enough or badly enough to do anything about it. What does farting have to do with gallbladder??

One of my FB friends had a "please sign this petition!" thing--for a petition to shut down OTHER nuclear power plants in Japan. Which...no. I mean, I'm sure they need to double-check their backups everywhere and stuff, but (a) I'm an American so it's not really my business and (b) isn't that how they power a lot of their country? So the best thing to do after one is down and people are homeless is to have...less power?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Two weeks is the point at which I tend to go to the doctor for his opinion about antibiotics. If it's not going away -- or not even showing signs of improvement -- at 2 weeks, then it tends to be something I need antibiotics for.

That's only me, though. I just know that if there's no improvement at 2 weeks, the germs are setting up a shantytown. Plus, I don't go in and ask for antibiotics; I talk to my doctor about the symptoms, etc., and ask him if *he* thinks antibiotics are appropriate at that point. Generally, he says yes, but he knows I feel pretty strongly about not wanting to contribute to antibiotic resistance by taking them when I don't need to.

Anyway, you're the best judge of your body, so keep an eye on it and do what seems right.

Oh! How is your roommate? Is she still alive after I told her to mix DayQuil and the 24-hour thing?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Perkins, whenever I'm a snotmonster, I often think of my sinuses as a TARDIS.

Fricking snotTardis.

Yeah, it always amazes me. I produce so much snot when I get a cold, I wonder about dehydration.

I left early, so I haven't seen her yet today, but I'll assume so!

Considering that radiation from a Japanese plant can't reach here in amounts to do any harm, it's hardly our business. Japan has to import 80 percent of fuel for generation, and nuclear plants provide 30% of the country's electricity.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

But surely if we just sign a petition, it will fix everything, right?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So the thing? With the vegetable broth? Not a win. I will not be finishing that up.

That's not patriotic Ginger. It's our God given right to tell other countries what to do, dammit.
