Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Why does my boss want to talk about my paycheck issues in the hallway??? I tried to get her into her office to talk about it on Friday, and she wouldn't follow me in, and then she started talking about it again walking down the hall this morning! Should we not be subtle about this kind of thing? (I was supposed to get an increase when I passed my probation, a month ago.)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

yeah, you should be subtle. Usually there are policies about discussing pay issues, as in, they should not be shared.

I have done the Fall weed & feed on my whole lawn. YAY!

Now I need to work, like really work, and try to clear out my mailbox so I can justify skipping off a couple of days this week.

This is what I'm saying! Sheesh. At least the increase will be retroactive when it finally comes.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Jesse, if pay increases when you finish probation are normal operating procedure, I might not consider it inappropriate as long as actual amounts are not being spoken aloud.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't think I can do the trazadone thing. I'm really dizzy this morning, and pretty sure I can't actually drive.

Which is separate, I think, from the marked lack of continuous sleep I got last night. I've also noticed more hypotensive moments (not just at the ER, but also when I stand up) since I started taking it.

I need to call in incapacitated to work today, as well as get the sleep doc's number and call her about the meds.

ita that is shame. Hoping sleep doctor won't be cruel idiot.

Because books.

That bites, ita. Was the ER visit any help?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

That sucks, ita.

ION, Man discovers Dalek in the rings of a tree, claims it's Jesus

It's so clearly a Dalek - I mean, it looks much more like a Dalek than Jesus.

io9 sez:

I suppose it could also be Davros upside down smoking a cigar, but that's just implausible.
