Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

That yarn bombing is so awesome! Did you submit it to the goodstuff tumblr? So cool!

So I am coming to you from my brand new super spiffy (but not 1080p) laptop! Whoo! Does my font look better? Are my thoughts coming through faster?

There are some physical things that will take some getting used to (like, the bulge of the large capacity battery is too small, and because the keyboard is offset for the 10-key (yay) it sits on one leg, making the whole shebang tilt subtly), but they fixed stuff that was irritating on my old one (this is a direct successor) like the bit where I broke the power cable seating by leaning on it, and the bit where the headphones cable stuck out irritatingly on the front (it's now rotated around to the side).

It has keyboard backlighting, which I find alarming since I'm a touch typist and never ever look at the keyboard, but I'll see about that in the future. And I don't see a physical set of volume control buttons. Other than that, it is sheer bliss so far.

The big question is, do I leave it at Windows 7 home, or do I buy and install 7 Pro so I can have downgrade mode? And lose all the weird cross merchandising stuff. I mean, I guess I can get rid of that anyway.

But at any rate, I've blocked out two days for setup and configuration and general tweaking. And it came in the morning, so at least I didn't have to worry about it coming this evening while I'm gone. Yay, new laptop!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Java, I saw Passion of the Christ - what was your question? Or were you just taking an informal poll?

(DH and I saw it with friends opening weekend. We all left the theatre blinking and saying "Okay...Mel Gibson hates Jews. A lot. Now we know.")

Because books.

Does my font look better? Are my thoughts coming through faster?

I just went to a Mike TeeVee place. "Am I coming in clearly?"

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Xoloitzcuintli dogs are cool. Actually, they're quite warm, but they're very cool.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Thanks, sumi! I deleted your submission, but just so I could make a post with the photo in it. It will show up soon!
