Oh hells no. Any suitably firm variation on "Don't touch me", possibly up to and including "What the hell is wrong with you, I specifically evolved language so lower primates wouldn't keep trying to groom me" seems appropriate.

I once saw a report on different means to thwart the squirrels. The only one that worked was a pressure sensor that detected if something weighing more than a bird was on the feeder, at which point the entire unit would spin rapidly and the squirrel would get flung off in a random direction. It was simply awesome.

Oh, wow. There's a bunch of tropical and sub-tropical plants with large flowers that smell of rotting flesh. They're pollinated by flies and carrion beetles rather than bees. Anyway, Rafflesia would be perfect for diverting the zombies. I wonder if they'd actually try to eat the flower, or just get confused and bump into it. Judging by the behaviour of the carrion beetles, I'm going with 'confused'.

ION, I love my town. a near by road has been declared a scenic highway - and now caltrans is taking down trees talking about widening and making it 'safer'. the widening will make it possible for larger trucks to go through and for people to drive faster -- the two biggest factors in accident - trucks and speed....

ther e have been protests, letters, outrage, phone calls and investigation. Caltrans called a meeting - last minute for a wednesday at 11am , outside of niles. The room was full.

Fremont might be a bedroom suburban community , but you just can't mess with Niles. Niles saved their post office - the postmaster general had never seen such mail - this could be interesting.
