Well, it's just good to know that when the chips are down and things look grim you'll feed off the girl who loves you to save your own ass!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

It is possible to get NY style bagels in Chicago.

I'll be in tech for Halloween. The director and I are conspiring to finish early on Sunday so that she can go trick-or-treating with her kids and I can go see a show downtown.

I'm getting the pig!

Hello from Seattle! The orb is out! And of course I already went with the curly hairstyle since I was expecting rain or mist. Oh well.

Halloween will be spent hanging out with Bev and her DH (yay!) and today Cass is driving up from Portland to hang out with us at Pike Place (yay!). Very happy-making Buffista halloween.

For now - breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Nom.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Because books.

We're off to Sara's school parade and party in a few minutes, and tonight there's a trick or treat event at church. I think tomorrow is cleaning and hanging around, and then Sunday is trick or treating, which is apparently huge around here. I hope I have enough candy.

I'm wearing my Rosie the Riveter garb tonight, which will be fun. And Sara's Hello Kitty costume came out pretty well. Very homemade, but very cute.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

David! What's your opinion on Sandy Alderson?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I have no costume for me. CJ is wearing his Raider's gear to the Dojo Halloween party tomorrow night. He wants to go Trick or Treating on Sunday but he would need to find some friends to go with as I don't want him out alone and I don't want to chaparone.

My girl has been sick all week, though she is feeling better today. She asked about flying home next weekend for a quick visit. Nice to feel needed as a Mommy.

I have been off all week due to a headache that hasn't progressed into migraine level, but has been bad enough that I've worked from home the majority of the week. I feel like a hermit.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Why is today sucking so much?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wow, Liese. That's cool. I just made a cute guy move seats so I could snag another outlet, but he moved a million seats over. I have girl cooties.

I'm startled and appalled at the Lush stuff. It doesn't fucking matter what accent any of your employees have or what typos you make. How does that get across so many desks and no one say oops, maybe this looks dodgy?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I am Mary Poppins, which is what I could throw together at 7:30 this morning. It looks all right, but I wish I'd thought of it in time to put together a proper-sized carpet bag containing a measuring tape, a brown glass medicine bottle and a compact filled with black powder. And I'm sorely feeling the lack of a parrot head on my umbrella handle. But, anyhow, it was good enough to get me a $2 discount coupon for lunch at the campus taqueria. I'm not quite sure how to stay in Poppins character while eating a burrito, but I shall make the endeavor.
