not your mom's socks.

Oenerous task will be going to HKFs school tomorrow to help clean up construction debris from a junior high project that the junior high neglected to clean up, and that the first grader named HKF decided to play with and got minorly hurt and majorly scared. Then, tearing the junior high teacher a new one. Then, looking for a new school for next year.

This winter has been one drama after another at the school and I'm so very done. Also with the fact that when I got there, not one adult could tell me how my kid had gotten hurt, but all of them could tell me why it wasn't their responsibility. Um. No. Not ever.

ETA - just so no one thinks I'm evil - the debris was sharp, rusty, and left all over the playground. Apparently for a while. And I think all are awesome and do a hero's job, except for this particular guy.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

What? Onerous Tasks on Mardi Gras? That is bananas.

That shit's bananas! Sounds like you've been Full On Non-Onerous all week though.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I got 100% on the face recognition thing! I'm a little freaked out by that.

Yeah, I guessed I would be below average because I feel like I'm so unobservant, but I thought it was really easy. Mostly because it was obvious to me which faces weren't correct.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

If it's any comfort, meara, I looked at it and decided I was too lazy to take a 20-minute test.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

People who have had bed bugs, how did you know you had them?

Oh, no.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was just in a store selling anti-bed bug stuff (eta: right up at the cash register), and it made me wonder if there was a California epidemic. Say it ain't so, Perkins! But you're in expert hands otherwise.
