Zuisa, have you met us? Excessively chatty is what we do
Thanks. I think that the only thing I do more than chat is worry that I am being too chatty, so my brain is lodged in a pretty vicious cycle between wanting to talk and wanting to show some sense of propriety.
RE: Halloween, I think that if I can find the necessary articles of clothing in my house, I will dress up as Kim Possible. I don't have any other plans aside from handing out the candy on Sunday night. I would LOVE to go to a party on Saturday, but all my friends live in a different time zone. But I was a theater major (sort of), any excuse to dress up is a good day in my book!
Me? I'm going to Vancouver. Where's the damned shuttle? Why am I still on the computer?
This weekend I'm going to see the last "The Girl With..." movie. Also obsessing about which clothes I bring on my business trip to Minneapolis next week. All my travel anxiety always goes right into wardrobe and I start thinking about "outfits" and appearance way WAY more than I usually do.
I don't usually dress up for Halloween -- my philosophy is go big or go home. If I don't have a kickass costume, I don't dress up.
I'm at the theatre tonight, then might swing by a party. Tomorrow, I'm at the theatre, then a wedding dinner. Sunday, I'm at the theatre all day. Does anyone see a theme? They need to hire a new house manager, STAT.
I'll be a house manager! I'm totally qualified. I'll teleport over promptly!
Scrappy, I really want to see both of the "The Girl With..." movies. I just signed up for Netflix so they are on my list of things to watch!
I'm going to be a black cat for a shower/bachelorette party.
Oh, and driving to Anaheim on Sunday to have breakfast with the DH's cuz and his family, who are visiting Disneyworld from the east coast. They are awesome, so it makes getting up at 7am on Sunday bearable.
Really, Lush? Really?
This is the letter I wrote on their email page; I sent it to media relations. I encourage you guys to object, as well. It's a simple bit of racism that can easily be corrected.
The name of your "Flosty Gritter" product is offensive. The fact that you attribute it to a specific Japanese employee is even moreso. Whether or not the story of the product's name origin is accurate, you must certainly know that this type of joking language criticism is often used as a racial slur. Whether or not you intend racism, your product name is, in fact, racist. It is not an acceptable name for a product. Please consider pulling this product and/or changing its name.
Liese, I emailed as well, and said that just because a Japanese persona said it first, it isn't any less racist when you repeat it.
