Northwestern University Professor Under Fire After Class Sex Toy Demonstration
Kind of a misleading headline - they say the demonstration was "controversial" without saying who found it controversial, etc. Maybe the "controversy" consisted of reporters asking about it.
Otherwise, this is better than the Tribune thing I linked to yesterday, as this has the word "fucksaw" in it.
"Sticks and stones may break your bones, but watching naked people on stage doing pleasurable things will never hurt you," Bailey told his class in response to the controversy.

"Personally, I probably wouldn't want to witness that, but a student can take or not take the course," said Christine Woo, a member of NU's Christians on Campus chapter. "It's their choice."
See? Not even Christians on Campus cares.
Not to mention that it was an optional, after class lecture. If a student was bothered, they didn't have to be there.
From all the links I've seen so far, the only people scandalized by this seem to be journalists. (Who are presumably not NU journalism graduates, since I can't imagine anyone who's lived with the nickname "Medildo" for four years is ever embarrassed by anything ever again.)
This argument came up at my university mumblety years ago when the Methodist Pastor/Professor showed 'alternative lifestyle' films as part of his psychology of sexuality class. (gay men, a paraplegic and his wife, two very old folks) Everyone was invited but no one was required, not even his students. There was a huge hew and cry over decency that nearly ended his career.
I couldn't get why so many people were up in arms about something they hadn't even seen.
That quote from the Campus Christian reminds me of the time when I was in college and got asked about Playboy recruiting on campus, as the representative of the feminist organization. I said I thought the whole thing was goofy.
