Mal: Gotta say, doctor, your talent for alienatin' folk is near miraculous. Simon: Yes, I'm very proud.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Yay Kathy!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thank you. I didn't realise that was his name embossed on the bottom right. I've never heard of him.

Nick Denton kinda apologises.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Woo hoo, Kathy!

Liese, given the number of times I had to yell "Just a second!" today, I am totally impressed and excited for his new skill.

On a semi-related note, I got official confirmation today from one of the new group that they were told by at least one of the old group that I am a total bitch. ::fistpump:: My guess is that it was the person who I had to fire a couple of weeks ago, who had a fundamental misunderstanding of the supervisor/employee relationship. The person who told me expressed his total disagreement with that assessment, and I don't think he was kissing my ass, because we'd been working together really well all day. Dude, you do what I do when I ask you to? I'm a ray of sunshine. Actually take initiative and anticipate my needs? I'm beaming like the sun itself.

I'm totally cool with the book sculptures. In my world we call that "upcycling," given that those books were out of date and would likely have otherwise been recycled or more likely tossed in the dumpster. Yes, I know, painful but very very true.

Yay Kathy!

We had a sudden snowstorm just at rush hour. My bus commute, normally 40ish minutes, was 90 minutes. Brutal. I was also hangry as anything, so when I stopped at the mall, I bought chocolate.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Have you ladies seen this website? [link]

I left work late for me, but before the dragging-his-ass support staff person was done doing a task for me. That shit had better be done right when I get in tomorrow.

Because books.

Congratulations, Kathy!

What smonster said about the books. Those are beautiful.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Something is wrong with my brain. I'm watching this PBS thing about the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, and they've got some reenactments of people working in the factory, and my first thought was that their eyebrows look all wrong, because they shouldn't be all nicely shaped like that.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

The same thing is wrong with my brain. I notice the eyebrows, the manicured nails, being too clean and zippers.
