Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I think Franco was stoned. Should have concentrated less on the real-time tweeting and more on the real-time hosting.

I agree. I had really high hopes that he was going to be great at hosting. So disappointing.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Franco was a dud.

So far as I know he's still dead.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

At least now the question has been settled: there really is something that Franco isn't great at.

Kat, I hope you and the family are feeling too sore this morning.

Compassionately intolerant

I think Franco was stoned.

I said this out-loud to the folks I was watching with. I've seen him in interviews and, while not riveting, he seemed much more lucid than last night.

Hathaway now joins Sandra Bullock in my mind as naturally entertaining women. Funny, calm, engaged in the endeavor, flexible and just plain good at the job.

Too bad about Franco. Ah well, GH still loves him.

Art Crawl!!!

Man, why must the DMV, Sec of State's office, or whatever you may call it be so damned frustrating?

There is a mobile unit that comes to campus once a month and I went to do the written test. (I'm trying to get my driver's license). And I consider doing this an onerous task, by the way.

I had my passport: picture that I'm me and I'm a US citizen, social security card - further proof that I'm in the system AND my voter's registration card - proof that I live in DeKalb. (Surely, they can check any one of these things.) But no, they want more and my direct deposit slips from the university that contain my address AND a subscription renewal bill (these are things that I happened to have with me) were not proof enough.

I can't believe how difficult it is to get i.d. here.

Punishingly Intricate

there really is something that Franco isn't great at.

Well, he really was not given much to work with. That was some weak material. I think Anne Hathaway came off okay because she just went full on goofball.
