Speaking of perfect moments...thanks to my friend G's delightfully easy to use carpet cleaner...all traces of Bartleby's recent illness have been removed from my carpet.
God bless Bissell and God bless G.
I may or may not do more carpet cleaning tomorrow, but in either case, the coming days will be that much less stressful.
I'm only dealing with my own crazy today because I've been out of ADs for a few days, but I'm medicating with really loud music and vacuuming. (The littlest kid is outside.)
Hi everyone!!! There is free internet at the Seafarer's Center in Wellington, which is where I am hanging out now. Still loving my job, but I do miss the internet and television. I realize I probably shouldn't be missing it, but I do. Oh well! I will just have ten thousand episodes of everything to catch up on when I get home in August.
Just in case anyone was worried, we were not in Christchurch when the earthquake hit. We were scheduled to be there tomorrow, and were there about two weeks ago as well. It's so sad, it's such a beautiful city full of such amazing people and it is so weird to think that I was just there, not even two weeks ago, drinking coffee in Cathedral Square.
Hi zuisa! Continued safe travels! Good to see your pixels.
I'm so tempted to make baked goods for our ITS and ops people and decorate them with resistors and other such electrical thingies. The past 2 months have had us in electrical hell. It's kinda freaky, honestly.

That is brilliant.
I am going out to see live music with a friend. CRAZY. mom and dad are mac sitting.
Whoo hoo msbelle, have a helluva time!
Speaking of music, and Live (meaning the band of that name), a minor miracle has occurred in my household this evening. I actually got on my Spinner and rode. For 35 more than medium minutes.
A miracle you say? How can that be?
Well, I walk past that bike every single day, roughly 80 times. I can't even tell you the last time I was on it. I could be a year and a half. Definitely since way before last spring.
So. Yeah. Just having the energy to entertain the idea is pretty excellent for me, much less actually doing it.
Let's hope this is a trend in the making.
Poor Bartleby hates it when I exercise. I have no idea why.
eta: Oh, I should have said that I owe it all to Live's Throwing Copper. Not sure what it is about Ed Kawalski (sp), but is angry poetry makes it impossible for me to sit still. Next up, Meatloaf/Bat Out of Hell
