Shit's all sorts of different now.

Speaking of vintage, does anyone want plus-size vintage undergarments? I have a small stack of bras and girdles I've worn maybe once each.

Would it be ... rude to ask sizes?

Holli, I don't look at vintage stuff on a regular basis, and generally I'm looking at plus-sized clothes, which are always fairly expensive. In general I find pricing for vintage on Etsy tends to be pretty high, esp after you add in shipping.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Not at all! They don't have sizes in them, but going by my size when I wore/bought them, the bras are probably 42DD, the girdles XXL.

Dang. I was hoping to help you with the bras, but they are too large in the band and too small in the cup.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

I think I'm spoiled by my local vintage store, is all.

Have you seen the stuff Top Runway makes? They do vintage repro with custom sizing. I haven't bought from them yet, but they look awfully pretty.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Man. I am progressing, but I am so stinking tired.

Sunroom is done. Living room is cleared of stuff, but furniture needs to be rearranged and cleaned under. Dining room is done. Maybe I can do the decluttering in the guest bath & guest bed, and one more round of dishes in the kitchen.

The thing is that I'll be teaching all day tomorrow and performing at night. And then theoretically church before the concert. So really today was the best time to get stuff done. In my head during the week I thought I had Saturday morning free while the SO taught. But no, I'm doing most of this workshop. Which I forgot while I was sick. AND I don't have my vocals pipes back and both morning and night are going to be pipes intensive. Blargh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

HOOKERS AND BLOW!

Man, that was traumatic, but in the end I made it home and not that late after all. In retrospect, I'm pissed off that none of the people I talked to suggested my flight from DC would be late, because it was totally still loading when I got there, but they had already given away my seat, because they rebooked me for fucking SUNDAY. But in the end, I got on the next flight, along with all the other desperate people, and I don't think it was even full when we took off, so WTFF, USAir.

And I am, as ever, so fucking grateful for you people. I just knew that if I was actually stranded, someone would hook me up and take care of me.

That '20s dress is phenomenal. I love the teal with the houndstooth.
