You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

I got out of my onerous task by forgetting the jury summons at home. I think I'm paying for it now: onerous task has become stupid power outages.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Glad your job finally got resolved, Consuela. I hope you don't have to go through all that again anytime soon (or anytime, really. What a mess!)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh. I had 2 hours worth of back to back students in office hours today. Onerous. Which meant I only got 1 hour of the 2 hour sexual harassment training done. Which means I have another hour to do either tonight or this weekend--that's like double plus onerous!

Punishingly Intricate

I put my laundry away. That was my onerous task! And I'm basically rewriting this document that a developer wrote. Actually, it's not that onerous. It's kind of super easy compared to the kind of work I've been doing for the last couple of years.

I'm probably making my ITS guys nuts. I just went through my emails the last time this happened and found some things to check for when they restart my processes and emailed them. And I'm slightly tipsy.

And I told my coworker to nap until I called her. Which will probably be past 11. SHOOT ME. I'm gonna be drunk-working. I've got marching orders from the Director's Office to get everything functional tonight. Because today was a proposal deadline (big deal) and it just got shoved forward 12 hours because of this. I want kudos and a parade and glitter and money.

hip deep in pie

I spent the better part of the night looking at vintage clothes on Etsy. Not that I'm letting myself buy anything.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Consuela, glad your job situation resolved in your favor!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

My onerous task was not being rude to the head teen services person. he doesn't like the teen blog - but I revived it anyway. he wants to do face book , which cool . But he has 12 friends. all the teens I know have 700 friends. they don't read there wall anymore than they read a blog. and the local libraries - have 43 friends. the teen blog jumped from 12 hits a day to about 30 as soon as I started posting. with no advertising. It jumped to almost 50 with just a little advertising. One more time people - getting the word out to just one more person counts. We don't live in a world where people get there info from the town crier.

ehmm.... end rant

next onerous task ... getting myself to bed by tenish. I have some sort of minor stomach thing going on and sleep seemed to help
