Giles: I'm sure we're all perfectly safe. Dawn: We're safe. Right. And Spike built a robot Buffy to play checkers with. Tara: It sounded convincing when I thought it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Corgi Meets an 11-Day-Old Nigerian Dwarf Goat

In this video we have a corgi and a cute little baby Nigerian dwarf goat getting acquainted. They seem to be having a showdown to see who is more adorable, but they are both pretty cute, if you ask me. It looks to me that both animals are trying to figure out what the other one is.

At least at the beginning, it appears the goat wants milk from the corgi.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Seems like you're right, it should just be deposited like any wage and then, not your employer's problem what happens to the money in your accounts.

Apparently some employees pick up their checks, except that one of the mandatory forms I had to fill out was a direct deposit form, so. ::shrugs:: I'm a bit worried about some disorganization: apparently the small consulting firm got purchased by a larger group without any experience in this kind of work, and they're having trouble getting the protocols all meshed together properly.

I'm really hoping they do not insist on fucking transcripts. I've been out of college for 25 years now; does it really matter what my grades were?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Go you, brenda, with the cancelling and the resulting money saving, yay!

I finished my taxes insofar as it was possible without my bank. It's pretty ugly. And it will get a little better when I get my charitable deductions in, but not a lot better. I am feeling bereft, the way one does when one pays a damn lot of taxes.

What was the next task I said? Because right now I don't wanna do any more.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Onerous task achieved: Contacting hospital to discuss bill, set up a payment plan, and make the first payment. As a bonus, I have managed to e-file my taxes, getting a refund, bit bigger than expected. So why do I feel so shaky and anxious?

Another one of these: Man Proposes to His Girlfriend in Mall Food Court (And That's Not Even The Embarrassing Part)

This video of a man proposing to his lady in a mall food court is packed with all sorts of embarrassing moments. From his location choice to the entire crowd singing the chorus of "Sweet Caroline" to the moment where she books it the hell out of there, this proposal is two minutes and twelve seconds of "awwwkkwaaaaard."

Now tagless for your comfort.

Onerous task completed: filled out and mailed registration for a training boot camp.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

On hold with Tivo. This is hard. (I got a new DVR from the satellite company because I just couldn't take the crappy interface between sat and Tivo and the fact that it couldn't use the dual tuner.)

Yay, my tax refund came in. I was afraid it wasn't going to come before the feds shut down. Which I hope won't happen, but still. I kind of need this right now.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'm still waiting for a form from my uncle's accountant before I can file my taxes. My sister reminded me that the form usually doesn't show up until early March, so it should be here in the next week or so. I'll owe anyway, so I don't mind waiting to clear out my savings account with the payment.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I have onerously made cookies (peanut butter, gluten-free), washed the dishes, walked the dog (at which point it BEGAN TO SNOW, and no, I wouldn't have walked him if I knew it would snow on me), wrangled and taken the trash to the curb, wrangled and taken the recycling to the curb, and made the bed. Woo. Now for a shower and then laundry (shower first, so I get enough hot water).
