For cheeseheads and us FIBs: Mars Cheese Castle moves into an actual castle (well, castle-shaped building). I should head up to Kenosha just to make that turnoff for Mars Cheese Castle. And maybe do some shopping at the Nike outlet.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Chili in the crockpot. Mmm.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Just got out of a very interesting meeting with my boss. The department chair wants us to start making alternate plans for how to move classes to off-campus locations, get brochures printed by non-campus services, food service, etc. In case of a work stoppage. Now, the chair is not a union member and I was up at the capitol with my union rep yesterday and nothing was said of a work stoppage then. So...interesting times.

The last time the state workers went on strike was 1976. Makes me wish my mother was still alive so I could pick her brains.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

NO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING FOR ZOMBIES!!!!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

NO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING FOR ZOMBIES!!!!

OK, now they're gonna have to go on strike for that right.

MY MOTHER IS NOT A ZOMBIE!

eta: Although I am sure that is something she would strike for.

MY MOTHER IS NOT A ZOMBIE!

Are you sure? She could be sneaking out of her grave at night for BRAINS... or to go to work.

Zombies of the world unite! You have nothing to lose but the chains that bind you! And sometimes your limbs, heads, entrails, etc!

I really need not to cook crockpot meals while I'm actually at home. The smell is killing me.

I've learned not to start them before I go to bed, 'cause waking up to smell of them in the morning is nasty no matter how much it's something I like. It's not breakfast food, I don't want to smell it in the morning.
