Natter 67: Overriding Vetoes
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, nail polish, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Sophia, I think it's totally natural smells that she's not used to. If she's so offended by them she probably uses all kinds of scented products on her person and in her home. I'll be willing to bet her own sense of smell is fucked up.
Chemicals fuck people up. What does she smell like?
DH is super sensitive to detergents, deoderants and other chemicals so I have to be careful about what I buy or he'll break out in rashes.
Especially if you have someone else telling you you're fine. I have a coworker who I can smell sometimes. Not in a bad way, just in a body way. But I would never say anything because clearly it's just her body and my nose.
Anyway, all I want to do today is play with the tumblr. Why do I have stupid work??
Dallas pukes when people use plug-in or spraying air fresheners. It's happened three times now in three different places. It makes me wonder just how bad they might be for some non-tiny organisms and it doesn't register since we're not booting.
I hate that she made you feel this way, Sophia.
I just had derby practice last night and we joke around about "derby stank" but we understand--the combination of pads and serious sweat are sometimes going to result in some smell. We go with it.
This cold is kicking my ass. I'm going back to work today, but just woke up with the cough and the aching from coughing.
I'm on day 10 of my cold, which in the past day has moved into my chest, so now I have the coughing as well. I was off work 2 days last week, and I feel SO MUCH WORSE today than I did those 2 days, I can't believe I was wimpy enough to take off then. I'm probably going to go home early and work over the weekend to make up for it. I cannot believe how bad I feel.
Also, I hate my haircut.
And Sophia's co-worker/rideshare is crazy.

One year for halloween we played a derby benefit show and I went as my friend ref Johnny Zebra. I borrowed his pads and helmet. I can still smell them in my nightmares.
I need to air out my gear and gear bag REALLY badly. I don't like to wash my pads too often because it breaks down the spandex and stuff, shortening the life of the pads. But I do spray them with some white vinegar/water and air them out in a mesh bag.
Let us not speak of krav funk. But it's understood that you change shirts if you take consecutive classes, and shower afterwards, and you hold your breath when you have your face pushed into unfortunate places.
Still, if you have a sweat aversion, it's not a good place to be.

OMG, I dreamt I went undercover as a sex worker last night. It was entirely surreal. I don't even know whose brain this is anymore.
I just need to let it go. I think if she brings it up again I will just say that I think it is a my body/your nose thing and thank her for the rides and say I am happy to take the bus.
I also am totally not bothered by smells. I mean, I work in costuming/wardrobe. It has to be pretty bad for me to find it anything other than just a smell. Of course, I am also a "mouth-breather". The things that kill me are perfumes, air fresheners, body washes, febreze.
