Jilli does this about once a week, I think. She wades into the room of petticoats and goes spelunking for treasure.
Not quite as often since I finally cleared out and organized the storage heap.
Happy birthday, Jon!
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, nail polish, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Oh, and Hubby found a way to shut up the gym twinks who found his rotundness disturbing--he took off his shirt and heard the locker room go silent, then heard a whispered "Look at all his scars ... dude..." Combined with his military-short haircut, he thinks they believe he's an injured vet--which he is, but the two didn't coincide--and are very nice to him now.
Kathy, that's great!
Wow, Kathy! Nice work.

I know, but I just like the image of you wading hip-deep into a sea of petticoats.
Awesome Kathy!
Thanks, everyone!
I find that the pool is a great place to turn off my brain and just go. I only have to be worried about counting my laps, and that's the only thing I think about (well, that and keeping my toes from cramping up). I do have to start working on my walking, though. I think I'm going to start heading down to the treadmill at work on my lunch break, which means adding my sweats and gym shoes to my swim bag. I'm determined to be able to walk a mile without stopping by Easter.

That part was fun. But now I can find things for my projects! Within 10 minutes of going into the room! I have three drawers of stripey fabric alone! V. exciting.
Kathy, I remain in awe of your continuing accomplishments.
Connie, I'd think your hubby's scars would shut anybody up. Just from the surgeries you've mentioned they have to be impressive.

This is such a wonderful thing. It's the plan for the closet o' doom. I've been considering a table or counter for the sewing machine on one closet wall again, instead of setting up a folding table elsewhere or using the eventual dining room table. I'd really like to keep the mess confined behind a closeable curtain, rather than leaving whatever project on view for the duration.
