Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Rick Castle is much more attractive than Mal! At least for those of us who enjoy more or less stable types....

I don't even know what you're talking about.

But I like the guy that kicks folks into an engine more.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm willing to discuss abortion with people who are not pro-choice, provided they can discuss it rationally, without spewing utter nonsense like "killing babies." Because as soon as I read something like that, I just want to reply, "Really? They go to hospital nurseries and kill the newborns? Or do they maybe go to daycare centers?"

And that line of questioning never ends well. Because oh, I have done it.

t edit I just remembered my most spectacularly inflammatory response to such nonsense, which was "I had no idea you hated women so much."

Oh, yes. I am a jackass. I know this.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

As soon as I saw that line, I reflexively assumed that the poster was one of the kids (and I mean KIDS, like 12 or 13 year olds) that follow me. I am probably wrong, but when I see wording like that, that's my knee-jerk response.

And I am ALWAYS a little agog that people who say they Just! Want! Government to be Smaller and Out! Of! Peoples'! Lives! are really okay with shoving the government into my uterus.

The irony burns.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Not to be creepy, but her profile says Home Schooled, class of 2010.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

So probably not as young as I assumed, but still in the "Oh CHILD" range.

(Which is also my reaction to the meme going around on Tumblr about "reblog if you're over 13!!!1!". Bless.)

(Hello, I am a sometimes-cranky ElderGoth. I am even wearing CrankyBloomers.)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

her profile says Home Schooled, class of 2010.

So maybe not a life rich with differing viewpoints.

Homeschooled doesn't mean she doesn't get out or interact with a range of people. She's a douche, but that shouldn't reflect on the decision to teach your kids outside of school.
