Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Holy crap. How did that happen?

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

the most being a word Adam Savage managed to cheat his way past by finding someone in the audience who knew it.

Actually, oeil de boeuf (bull's eye) was easy for anyone who knew French (or architecture). I was going to stand up for it if no one else did. There were a lot of French words last night. Who missed oubliette? I was suprised by that one.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

You know how I mentioned my neighbors turning their Acura into a convertible?

I knew a guy in Atlanta who did that to a big old Caddie. Was quite nifty, except if it started to rain, in which case he had to cover it and find another way home.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, good god. I just got earwormed with a song we learnt in French class, except the words are all wrong, so I can't even google it. Aha! My memory isn't all fritzed. Alouette. Except not, Oubliette.

And Wikipedia tells me it's French Canadian. How weird. I wonder where I learnt it. It's even tied to McGill. Why would I be learning that at university?

Going in to work late today. Hopefully I can get my pain meds ordered and picked up with no problem.

The bird plucking song! I think it must be a staple of french classes.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Okay. Onerous task of speaking with boss about bullshit goals is over. Officially on vacation now.
