I just got this Tweet emailed to me by one of my coworkers, who covers a Marquette labor law prof for one of our products:
Senate chamber doors are barricaded. GOP wants to get lunch, but the police refuse to escort them.

Didn't the Texan dems have to do that a few years ago too? Also, how can they send police after them--what law are they breaking??
The Dems did it in Texas--back when Delay was redistricting, I believe back in 2003.
OH NOES! The GOP will have to order in. Fuckers.
Yeah, the Texas Dems escaped to Oklahoma, I believe.
State law says that legislators can be compelled to report to the Capitol, and that state police can be used to bring them in. The same thing applied in Texas.
They're probably hiding out in the UP.
I think the texans hid in new Mexico, I recall sarameg being excited by it.
I hope Rahm Emmanuel's offering them sanctuary!
Fuckin' cheesecakes for everyone.
Aw, Cash, you know anyone over 30 is old! You should keep your gray hair in a nice bun, and wear cardigans and sensible shoes. Adults aren't allowed any whimsy; we might not be taken seriously if we dyed our hair purple!
I wonder how I'd look with purple hair.
I hope they're enjoying some deep dish.
ION, the Sun-Times review of the show I just did calls it "a travesty of a mockery of a sham." Tell us how you really feel, Hedy.
