Yup, still on!
I cooked dinner again today (I may be done for the year), and for the second time in a week it's tastier than anything I've ordered in recently. I wish I had the energy to do this regularly, dammit.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, nail polish, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

You know, I've been watching your posts about cooking. I think you're downgrading your frequent baking (and/or eggnoggery). It's not like you don't cook!
The conversation is over but....
We lost our B and N about a month ago
and now we are losing our borders
I have no idea where we will go on date night, because there will not be a book store in town
I'm roasting mushrooms, eggplant, and garlic for a veggie lasagna that I'm taking to my mom's this weekend. Third layer will be frozen spinach sauteed with the garlic that I roasted tonight as well. I'll make and bake them on Saturday and just reheat them on Sunday.
I'm so glad we have two nice, indie bookstores--no way this town could support a B&N, Borders or any large chain store.
We're getting hail again. A lot.
I hope Emmett's lemon tree is okay. It was all flowering.

Baking's easier. I can pretend I don't have to do it.
Which reminds me--I have a lemon pound cake that's not baking itself.
Dinner today was pan seared chicken with bourbon cranberry sauce. Kinda nummy.
Had to fix and refile my federal return today. Fuck me, I'm glad this day is almost over.
I've been smelling vinegar all night. Just noticed the shallow dish of vinegar sitting at the back of the counter (for deoderizing) is gone. My kitchen is small, I have no idea what the cats did with it. It's a cup sized glass dish. And I have no idea where it is. And it was the cats. I know it.
More hail? Yikes!
