Jeez, don't get all Movie of the Week. I was just too cheap to buy you a real present.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I buy quinoa in whatever box or bag my store is selling it in, not in bulk. I like to use it in couscous recipes.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I checked, and wikipedia does indeed have a page for my UK high school. I'm really sad that the notable alum that I knew the best is Britain's biggest female fraudster. She was continually on my jock.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

That is the best idea for a hero/villain combo ever. You'd never know!

Wouldn't that be Two-Face? [link]

There have been a couple of football people from my high school, but that's about it. A fair number of famous people and white-collar felons went to my university.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I treat quinoa like rice. Rinse, then cook in rice cooker. I like the red but it is a bit more assertive. The yellow seems to be milder.

Also, I love this quinoa salad, but maybe not in winter: [link]

I have promised myself I'm going to cook tonight.

I am flummoxed at the very idea. It has been weeks.

I had to tell my boss the construction is still bothering me. He looked devastated. So now I feel guilty.

Mmmmm, now i'm getting hungry. quinoa is great for cold salads, and i especially love it when beans and corn are involved. it handles southwestern flavors very nicely.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

You should not feel guilty! This is not your fault! It`s been going on forever now; you deserve a safe effective workplace!

He scrubbed his face with the heel of his hand. That's a major expression of male angst.

I checked the list of notable McGill alums on wikipedia. Colin's on it, and John Rogers is not. That's so not right. We also lay claim to Rufus Wainwright and Leonard Cohen, as well as the ex-Prime Minister of Egypt. We're so cool. Oh! Samantha Bee! Hume Cronyn!

Liese's right.

But also, did you see that thing about how women don't contribute to Wikipedia?? You should put John Rogers in there! Or I should, but I won't.
