It's 9˚F, here. Yes, folks that is a positive number, which makes me positively happy. As I said on FaceBook, you know it has been bloody f-ing cold when you think "huh, this doesn't feel quite as bad as I expected" while walking out to the car, only to drive past a bank sign proclaiming the current temp as -5˚F. Even better, the forecast for today is a high of 30. Color me giddy.
Interview~ma for msbelle. And getting through the work day~ma for ita.
Kathy, you are doing wonderfully!
I'm participating in a six-week challenge at work - anyone who squeezes in 3 ten-minute periods of physical activity per day (they include active house-work like vacuuming and gardening) can enter a drawing for various prizes (incl. a $300 voucher for a gym membership). When I'm assisting individuals with their range of motion exercises at work, I've been doing the exercises with them instead of just standing by and counting for them. Then I thought I'd be so clever, for days when I'm tired at the end of the day, and still need to get in more activity - searched YouTube for chair exercises. I glommed onto some chair tai chi and chi gung vids - the ones I have done, my arms and shoulders are SO sore! There are also lots of chair yoga bits up, some modifications of poses that work for those of us who aren't ready for the floor. Definitely noticing a hint of definition in my biceps, and my posture is better.
Interview~ma, msbelle!
Count me among those in awe of Kathy. Not actually inspired by, yet, seeing as how I steadfastly continue to be mostly a desk-bound lump, but very definitely in awe.
I should probably do something besides listen to the new Gaga single today, yes?
Interview ma~~~ msbelle!
and yay for you windsparrow ! I love that you are already seeing a difference
I should probably do something besides listen to the new Gaga single today, yes?
I don't see why. Yesterday was onerous task day.
Less comical part of the HB Gary vs. Anonymous thing:
Among the emails that were published was a report prepared by HB Gary -- in conjunction with several other top online security firms, including Palantir Technologies -- on how to destroy WikiLeaks. The emails indicated the report was part of a proposal to be submitted to Bank of America through its outside law firm, Hunton & Williams.
[...]in other leaked HB Gary emails, ThinkProgress discovered that similar proposals were prepared for the Chamber of Commerce to attack progressive groups and other activists (including ThinkProgress). And perhaps most disturbing of all, Hunton & Williams was recommended to Bank of America's General Counsel by the Justice Department -- meaning the U.S. Government is aiding Bank of America in its defense against/attacks on WikiLeaks.
