I hope you don't think that I just come over for the spells and everything. I mean, I really like just talking and hanging out with you and stuff.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm putting the onerous task of digging my car out until tomorrow when it's supposed to be above 20°F (and snowing again).

JZ, your workplace is just trying to achieve karmic balance.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Um, what could be more conservative than nickel wine?? I mean, you'll be drinking while unemployed, right?

Note to self: an apartment that's $100/month cheaper and has a broker's fee doesn't actually save you money for at least a year, once you've paid the fee and the movers.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

So, garlic cloves (minced, sliced, chopped, whatever) for a cold: does it work? Enquiring sniffly minds want to know.

For me, yes, but only if I start it at the very first sign (for me, sore throat) of a cold. I crush a clove into a tbls of applesauce and then swallow whole. I do this a few times a day for a couple of days.

In an article I read at some point in the distant past, the guy who did the hot pepper research suggested heavily black-peppered chicken soup could indeed be the remedy people thought it was.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Chicken Tom Yum soup is great for colds!

This is based on a study I did, with a sample size of one.

Steph, garlic works better for infections.

I thought the early reports that he was stepping down sounded too optomistic. It was just too soon for that kind of caving.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Steph, garlic works better for infections.

Isn't that what a cold is?

t edit Or did you mean, like mince the garlic and put it on a cut/scrape/wound?
