So, was the gist of Mubarak's speech, "Yeah, you know, I'm not going anywhere, kthxbai"?
That's the impression I have, though it was hard to hear the translation over the speech itself.
I think Mubarak is ex-president walking (and have since he replaced his cabinet), but this (if correct -- TB may very well be right) means it's going to be really, really ugly. Coming down to which way the military goes.
JZ, I'm so thrilled for you!
Really fascinating piece. Oh so cyberpunk.
I'm still boggling that he actually wrote a 1-2-3 list that ended with Profit! Also quite a few other things.
HEY GUYS I HAD A GREAT IDEA: HOW ABOUT I STILL BE PRESIDENT
Heh.
Or, oh, shit. Please, please just leave.

Man, it's gonna get ugly. Someone needs to punch him in the head. Hard enough to remove him from office.
It's amazing how many supervillains have advanced degrees...graduate schools should do a better job of screening those people out.
I just noticed your tag, Steph. I think you're overlooking that maybe going to graduate school turns you into a supervillain.
Everyone in Egypt feels exactly the same way that Noah felt at the ball pit yesterday.
Ascend already, Mubarak.
So, garlic cloves (minced, sliced, chopped, whatever) for a cold: does it work?
Not so much. Hot pepper does, though.

Ha! Very possible! (It's really just a Sheldon quote from S2 of Big Bang Theory.)

Hmm. I have no hot pepper, but 2 heads of garlic. I've heard that eating a raw clove helps with a cold (and that if you don't want to have serious garlic breath, to just chop it in large pieces and swallow them rather than chew them). So I chopped a couple of cloves and swallowed them. I figure it can't hurt. (I hope that isn't my epitaph: "She thought the garlic couldn't hurt.")
