For those of you who get taxes done by someone else, what do you pay?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's neither Matthew nor Tobey. I still think he looks closest of the suggestions.

Punishingly Intricate

sara, not sure how much because it varies based on how complicated your stuff is but my guy is awesome. He has saved me a ton of money and many headaches. I can pass on his contact info if you are interested.

lisah, I already use your guy! Last year's was a bit onerous and no efile because of the housebuying credit and ended up being something like $275. I didn't do much charity (boo) and no other fun stuff to complicate it this year beyond being a homeowner. I just don't know what to expect now, and am wondering if I should take off the training wheels and do it for myself this year. I'm a fucking cheapass.

Ha! I thought so! I think if you have nothing complicated the tax software out there makes it easy enough for most people.

Might try that first. Uhg, I'd love to support local business, but CHEAPASS!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

AAARrrrggghh!

Why is the universe trying to kill me with gross? There was a bug in my spinach greens tonight. In my "washed and ready" spinach, that I considered rewashing but didn't because I am lazy. The SO asked, "What, like a fruitfly or something?" and I was all, "No, a fucking beetle! Are you even kidding me with this?"

I mean, seriously, WTF? So much for me trying to health up my noodles.

brillig

I use Turbo Tax online, if that counts as "somebody doing the taxes", and that's between $50-70. You can deduct it from your refund. I'm curious how that's going to work because the refund is going to be seized by the IRS for a bill.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Washed and ready spinach should not betray you like that, Liese.

The French Onion Soup I had for dinner was good but, I am afraid, insufficient. Hm.
