Well some friends of Buffy played a funny joke and they took her stuff and now she wants us to help get it back from her friends who sleep all day and have no tans.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I wanted to like that more, except the cartoonist does a poor job of imitating E. C. Segar.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I just think that they *should* be edited.

It was more the idea that magazines, print OR online, have standards anymore. If mainstream print media still gave a crap about content, DH would still have a job.

brillig

We had an answering machine once. I recorded the message. My Koogie destroyed it by continually hitting the button that played the message, then trying to rescue his Mommy from the tiny box she was apparently trapped in.

Also, SNOW! ON THE GROUND! ONE INCH OF SNOW ON THE GROUND!

I wasn't planning on buying the windshield scraper for another two weeks. Yeah, right.

Allyson, those TheraFlu packets relieve cold symptoms for me (particularly coughs) far better than the liquid OTC medications do. Although not so much with the sleepy-making.

Okay, not to beat a dead horse blog, but I think they should have standards. I get what you're saying about E., totally. I was just making the observation that I think journalism should have stylistic standards. I realize that it very very often doesn't (which is why I even need to have the opinion that it should; if it had standards, I wouldn't need to wish it did).

Okay. Dead horse blog, beaten.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Anyone else watching Raising Hope ?

I'm a little in love.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Man, once upon a time this would have hit two of my sweet spots hard. As is, I know I'm missing nuance, especially on the basketball side. But they're gorgeous.

eta: Trudy, I like it a lot.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

once upon a time this would have hit two of my sweet spots hard.

Man, I just stopped watching basketball once the Bulls started sucking.

I am such a fair-weather fan.
