Okay, mine are not that bad.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, nail polish, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
billytea wins.
Skipping all the disturbing cat and bleeding discussion!
Can we go back to snakes, please!
There was that one time I had to stuff bleeding snakes up my nose because...
Okay, never mind. Let me go back to googling the horsies. Friesians are pretty.
I've had what billytea had, a combination of an aneurysm and an allergic reaction to the mold that was growing behind the shelf paper the previous tenants had put up as wallpaper. I had the cauterization, it came back, they were talking about surgery to cut the artery feeding the site, they decided to pack the sinus instead. The most painful thing I've ever gone through, and the nurse learned not to stand in kick range of a patient having this done.
The good thing is it convinced me that this big blond guy I'd picked up was a keeper.
CJ gets nose bleeds fairly regularly, but he knows how to handle them on his own. There have been a couple of scary ones.
Our newest wave of snow is falling. Or I should say blowing. I opened my front door to see how much had fallen tonight, but before I had the door open a bit I was hit by flying snow. My door is tucked in a covered corner, so it takes some work to hit me in the face without me stepping outside.
This is only anecdotal, though. Not sure what the medical science is behind it.
Pretty sure the science is solid. Long random story how I know, but it puts pressure on the vessels that feed a nosebleed.
Eeek! I didn't mean to leave the seed of a disturbing overnight discussion!
I also know the anecdotal Darwin Award case where an alcoholic fell, cutting his calf open. Since it wasn't dramatically spurting, decided to watch TV and have a couple more drinks, putting his foot into a bucket.
Moral of the story? Don't bleed and drink, I guess.
Cold, dark winter mornings -- even with coffee, I do not love thee...
Sue, that picture is so sweet! And your cats are pretty.
They are pretty, and pretty portly. They aren't really that buddy buddy, but they get along fine most of the time. They would never curl up and sleep together though. Oz usually wants to sleep in the exact spot where Clio is sleeping, so he just pushes her out of the way. He can be a jerk like that. But Clio will let him groom her face while they're waiting for me to feed them.
