I have the day off, which is great because it's lovely weather here. Where "lovely" equals= Sunny and 1C, and there's still a foot of snow on the ground. But hey it's February in Nova Scotia, I have to take all the pluses I can find.
So far I've had breakfast at my favourite place, wrote the good part of an angry letter to Sears Home Improvement, (I won't even get into that.) and had a nice little walk in the sun while I ran some errands.
However, my ear has been plugged up for days and now it's popping strangely. I'm afraid that'I have an infection. I was just at the doctor, couldn't it have shown up before that appt?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
I feel very garden proud today. I ordered roses for the backyard, by mail! [link] I have never tried to grow roses from bareroot stock before, but they tend to do well in LA and my grandmother loved them, so they always remind me of her. My DH doesn't like them, and I realized it's because the he's colorblind and admires plants only for their shape and rose foliage is pretty boring. He is certainly willing to have them, he just finds them dull.
