Cass, I live next to a strip mall, so they are/were clearing the parking lot. Now that I stop to listen, I'm not hearing them right now. But I started working on my Monday reports and figure I might as well finish the set I'm working on right now.
eta - still scraping.
How are you feeling, as all these changes are occurring?
It's weird--I've developed an obsession with squeezing my rolls of fat to see how they're reducing in size! I've got this one-inch wide strip of fat directly below my chin I'm just waiting to disappear, because that would get rid of my double chin completely.
Physically, I definitely don't pant nearly as much as I did before. This past Thursday, I had to walk the long way around to get to my car at work due to snow falling off of the roof, so I had to walk up the dock ramp to get to the parking lot. Well, I was panting by the time I finished, however, I was done with the panting before I even pulled out of the lot. Beforehand, I would have been panting for at least a mile down the road.
Mentally, I think I'm much more confident than I was before. At least, I'm pretty sure about where I'm going with my life, so that adds to that confidence. It helps that I'm also getting that masters degree, so I'm more focused than in 2009 and before. The weight loss just helps me imagine bigger things for my future.
Oh, and I'm going to be wearing one of my new pairs of pants tomorrow, the ones I bought a few weeks ago but didn't really like because they had some spandex and were gluing themselves to my calves. They've let go (a bit), so they're not nearly as bad. I picked up another pair I had ordered online at the apartment manager's office today and tried them on. They're a bit tight in the waist and stomach, so I'll be waiting a few weeks to try them on again. But, they are the first pair I've owned in a long while that had a zipper and buttons, and weren't an elastic or drawstring waist.
Both pairs are size 32, which are two sizes smaller than I started with.
Me today. I'll know for sure tomorrow morning, but I'm around 90 pounds down so far.
Wow, Kathy, that's impressive. Go you!
Kathy, I'm awed and very happy for you. Amazing determination and wonderful strides forward!
I'm pretty sure I just saw the plow drive away. Sleep attempt #2...
That is awesome, Kathy! Go you!
Wonderful, Kathy. And I agree that your smile is the best part.
