Mmm. Wife soup. I must've done good.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

That is an awesome skirt, Teppy. Hope you have a blast at the shindig.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm laughing my ass off right now -- Tim is on the phone with his best friend, who is also going to the shindig tonight, and they're talking about what they're going to wear and what Friend could borrow from Tim.

I am totally the guy in this relationship. (Except I make Tim kill bugs. Especially crunchy ones.)

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I think I'm doing as little as possible this weekend. January ran me kind of ragged.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That skirt and corset should look great together, Steph!

I'm heading over to smonster's in a couple of hours to mock some bad tv. Tomorrow I'll be going to a friend's non-Super Bowl dinner. There may be some puppy bowl. Right now I'm doing house stuff while my laptop backs up. It's the first back up, so it's taking a while. Three hours in, and only 65% has been copied. Good thing I'm not on a deadline for this.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Oh, hey--I was at Target earlier, and noticed that it now sells hard liquor. They even had a price cut on Jack Daniels.

I didn't buy anything, but it's awesome that I could have.

information libertarian

We went to the just-reopened-after-construction art museum this morning; they were having a family day, so there was a gallery activity pitched right for Casper, and a performance about Picasso, and juice boxes. Then we had a neighbor over this afternoon, and neighbor and Casper didn't really play together but whatever. Also, 3 loads of laundry, dishes, and general cleaning, plus making a shopping list and grocery shopping by mr. flea.

Tomorrow is "patch the plaster ceiling day." Somewhat apprehensive. And I'm making Senate Soup and bread and chocolate zucchini bread (which is adapted from a recipe msbelle sent me like 5 years ago!)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Today was "clean off the DVR day," which seems to be a tradition, and after all that effort I took a nap. Now I will get up, put on clothes, make dinner, and then tidy in preparation for Calli's arrival.

Tomorrow, I dunno. Hopefully cleaning, bill-paying, and paperwork. And then the aforementioned anti-Super Bowl activities.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Love the skirt, Tep!

Warning, dull list of errands to follow: Today I went to pilates, then DH and I bought dog food from the pet warehouse store in the really bad neighborhood, then lunch out. We found a cool baby store and bought baby shower presents for the niece: A Ramones onesie, a tiny Sublime t-shirt and size one pink and white checked Vans.

We bought a bottom sheet at Macy's to replace the one which got a hole this week--yeah, we are the kind of peeps who only have one set of sheets at a time. We have one back-up set, but don't like it as much.

How many sheets do you guys have?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh dear lord my linen closet is ridiculous. Like, 5 flannel and 6 regular cotton sets? More or less. I have no idea where that particular mania came from. I'm not allowed to buy more sheets, though.

Weekend plans: kitchen cleaning, cookin' up a mess of greens, maybe watching the Superbowl, maybe mowing the lawn, definitely looking for the small bag of hardware that was supposed to come with my worm bin that I hope is hidden somewhere in my living room rather than completely missing. The usual.

Eta: I love that skirt, Tep. It'll look great with your flamey corset.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I use one set at a time, winter and summer, but I have a couple of others I never use. One I sacrificed to the cat as a sofa slipcover this summer....
