Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So if you're, say, writing something about sexual harassment and you need a photo of some sexual harassment going on, you'd probably try to find some stock photos. Except these stock photos are very... bad.

Lunch is meatballs--yum! The cafeteria was having spaghetti, but since pasta is out for me, I asked if I could just have three meatballs with some sauce on a plate. They still charged me the full amount, which didn't make me happy, but I paid for it. Oh, well.

Today's Groupon is $10 for $20 at Barnes & Noble. They are, however, slammed right now, and people can't log in through the main site. (You can log in through their backup site -- my. groupon. com. Or, at least, I was able to log in that way about 10 minutes ago.)

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'm one of those people hunched over my phone while waiting for my food at lunch! Exciting.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Except these stock photos are very... bad.

I'm pretty sure you can just use a screencap of Roger Sterling as a universal signifier by now. It's like they aren't even trying.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Well, I made it home. Replaced the battery in the swag wag, so that`s going. Power is still a little squirrelly but I think it`s mostly from me jacking with the circuit breakers when I still thought everything was my fault. Furnace is still out, van is still out, but those are the two I think may still improve on their own with temperatures rising. And it only got down to 53 overnight, and that`s without us tending the fire, so we could have stayed. So we`ll stay tonight. SO is heading out for groceries and the Schwann`s man just left. So I feel better overall. And maybe my Zoya order will be there when he hits the PO.

I'm getting antsy to get out of here and go for a swim at 5:00. Last night's swim was cut short after only 17 laps due to three factors: way too crowded (I hate circle swimming, especially with two ten-year-olds), way too cold (both the air and the water were freezing!), and my toes were starting to cramp up already (I wouldn't be surprised if it were due to the cold). Here's hoping tonight's swim will be the opposite in all ways.
