"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

shrift, I bought one of those, too--we should definitely have a meet-up there.

I think the fine print says we can only use one per table, BUT that just means we'll have to meet up more than once! I'm okay with that. Moar Indian food, moar Buffistas!

BTW, this was the first one I'd bought. Do I have to print out anything, or will they email me the info?

They'll email you the info the next business day after the charge goes through. You'll probably have to print out the voucher to take to the restaurant

I am anti-fizzy everything. Champagne and Proseco get passes in moderation, but I'm not a carbonated person. On the other hand, I am tea obsessed.

The snow is still falling and accumulating. I checked the school district page and while there isn't any mention of closure yet, one school shut down early due to a busted water main. There is only a half hour left of school, so he will be trudging home soon.

My favorite ginger ale is the homemade stuff they have at Big Bowl (one of the Lettuce Entertain You restaurants). I think it's real ginger infused into fizzy water with some sugar added--whatever it is, it's delish!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Danny Elfman/Tim Burton box set.

Okay, I really read that wrong. I saw "Danny Elfman/Tim Burton bot sex."

Chicagoistas, I totes just bought today's LivingSocial deal for Viceroy of India, so we should go eat there sometime soon.

Oooh, that sounds good.

I don't like my water fizzy. The only carbonation I get any more is the occasional beer.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ooh.

I think the furnace just kicked on. Yay kettles of boiling water to the rescue!

Cars are still a nogo, though. One battery is completely dead. The other turns over, but doesn't start. I did try to jump the one, but I think it's too far gone.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Or maybe not.

I am totally reduced to cargo cult status at this point. I am just waving my arms at things hoping that if I wave them right things will work. The reality is, things will probably work after tomorrow when the temperature rises above freezing. But other than that, it's just superstition.

backs away slowly

(Also, if there is Tim Burton/Danny Elfman RPF out there, I DON'T WANT TO KNOW.)

(Which, yes, is somewhat hypocritical, considering I do read RPF, but still. I have boundaries.)

(I also like parentheses!)

Wow. I just zoned out for half an hour. At least I'm not as sleepy now! Heading out in another half hour for a swim.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think I found Colin RPF yesterday. I read it, and I don't understand what happened.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Is that because of the writing, or your brain protecting you?
