Ann, that's a ferret.

No one drinks Dixie.

I guess times have changed. When I was in college, it was the beer of choice.

I mainly use them for snacks or frozen stuff/simmer sauces to keep around for "emergency" meals. I think I'd shop there more if I were single and not cooking for a family.

I wouldn't do my regular shopping there, not enough selection. OTOH, I cook for myself a lot, but there are a lot of wonderful options for people who don't/dont want to cook. I love their frozen bags of pasta, and their wine :)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I will say, many of TJ's staples are cheaper than my supermarket -- milk, and dry pasta, for two. I basically alternate between the two, unless there's something specific I need at one place or the other (I will never again buy toilet paper at TJ's!).

A lot of random things are cheaper at TJs, like spices and chocolate for baking.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

The TJ's coming to my hood will be right by the Target, and the regular grocery is on the way home from both.

I am sure we will have school tomorrow, which means I need to grade the rest of the papers today -- yesterday, I was just way too tired from my crap sleep.

I finally got to sleep last night at about 2, and slept till 10. I am already dreading how little sleep I anticipate getting tonight. Ah, well. I can power through it; it's Friday. Maybe I'll -- gasp! -- buy a Coke with lunch!

I'd better make sure I have change.

Punishingly Intricate

TJ's can be good for inexpensive(ish) staples. I find it doesn't work at all if I'm trying to get groceries for a specific recipe. They never have all the ingredients!

Because books.

S. realized while looking for something Mexican in the grocery store that there are a zillion spices in that section, same as the McCormick's and what have you, for much cheaper prices. Strange.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

(I will never again buy toilet paper at TJ's!)

I buy my toilet paper from TJ's! It's cheap AND recycled!

I find it doesn't work at all if I'm trying to get groceries for a specific recipe. They never have all the ingredients!

And that is why my brother bought me this for Christmas.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought that it was deliciously evil and fitting.

It was very magnificent bastard. I don't watch House--he's too much of a prick for me, but this level I can handle. Lightman actually likes the people he works with. He's still not a nice person, but he likes them.

I'd love to grocery shop at one store. But the Ralph's near work carries my juice and cereal. The one near home doesn't. The one near krav carries Izze. I don't like the frozen food at any of them, and none of them carry my soy milk of choice. For that, TJ's. So...at least three stores. It's frustrating.
